Gemini, the cryptocurrency exchange platform founded by the Winklevoss twins, has filed an S-1 registration statement for an initial public offering (IPO).

The company plans to list on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol "GEMI," according to Reuters.

Gemini intends to offer 16.67 million Class A common shares at an expected price of between $17 and $19 per share.

This could raise up to $317 million and value the company at approximately $2.22 billion.

Major investment banks, including Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and Cantor, are leading the underwriting. The offering is subject to SEC review and market conditions.
