The White House’s Working Group on Digital Assets has released its long-awaited report on cryptocurrency regulation.

The document outlines key policy recommendations, including definitions of market structure, jurisdictional oversight between the SEC and CFTC, banking rules, policies on stablecoins to bolster the US dollar, and crypto taxation.

One of the most important aspects is the establishment of a clear "taxonomy" to classify digital assets as securities or commodities.

The report suggests that the CFTC will oversee spot cryptocurrency markets, while the SEC will regulate security-like tokens.
