Bitmain, a manufacturer of cryptocurrency mining hardware, plans to open its first production facility in the US before the end of the third quarter of 2025, according to Bloomberg.
This move follows the company's announcement in December of its plans to expand production in the US.
Irene Gao, Bitmain's global business director, confirmed the new plant will be located in Texas or Florida and is expected to begin operations in early 2026.
It is expected to reach full production capacity by the end of that year.
The expansion supports US efforts to boost domestic manufacturing in strategic sectors such as cryptocurrency mining, semiconductors, and energy.
