Bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX has received court approval to release $1.9 billion for repayment to its creditors, with the next distribution set to begin on September 30, the platform announced on Wednesday.
The bankruptcy court has reduced the claims reserve from $6.5 billion to $4.3 billion, freeing up funds for the next payment.

The platform has not specified the exact amount to be distributed on September 30, but has confirmed that August 15 is the registration date for eligible claimants.
So far, FTX has reimbursed creditors $6.2 billion in two previous distributions: $1.2 billion in February and $5 billion in May.
