BlackRock has filed a request with the SEC to enable staking for its iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), according to a filing made Thursday by Nasdaq.
The move comes after the agency's recent approval of the first staking-enabled cryptocurrency ETF, the REX-Osprey Solana Staking ETF, earlier this month.
Other asset managers, such as 21 Shares and Grayscale, have also submitted updated proposals to add staking to their Ethereum funds.
