Turkish authorities have blocked access to 46 crypto websites, including major decentralized exchange PancakeSwap, as part of a campaign to control unlicensed platforms.
The Capital Markets Board (CMB) announced the move on Thursday, citing Turkey's Capital Markets Law to justify the restrictions.
PancakeSwap, which processed more than $325 billion in transactions last month, was among the sites affected, although the CMB did not clarify what made its services "unauthorized."
This move follows similar measures taken by the governments of Kazakhstan, Venezuela, and the Philippines, where regulators have increasingly focused on unregistered cryptocurrency services.
