Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed that his new political party, the America Party, will accept Bitcoin.
In response to an X user who asked if the party would accept BTC, Musk replied:
"Fiat is hopeless, so yes."
Musk has long been involved with Bitcoin: Tesla purchased $1.5 billion worth in 2021, becoming one of the first major companies to own BTC.
The company still owns 11,509 BTC (about $1.26 billion), making it the ninth-largest public holder of Bitcoin.
