The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has initiated a public comment period on two cryptocurrency ETF proposals from Franklin Templeton.
The funds, which would track the performance of XRP and Solana, intend to list on the Cboe BZX Exchange.
The SEC published two documents on Tuesday, thus initiating the process that could lead to their approval.
Cboe initially requested the rule change in March, but the SEC delayed its decision in April, extending the deadline to this week.
Once published in the Federal Register, the SEC's review period will be extended by 35 days, delaying the final decision until July.
