Hong Kong-based DDC Enterprise, known for its heat-and-eat meals, has made its inaugural Bitcoin purchase, initiating a plan to acquire 5,000 BTC over three years.

The company, also known as DayDayCook, announced on May 23 that it exchanged 254,333 shares for 21 Bitcoins, for a total of $2.28 million.

DDC intends to buy another 79 BTC shortly, increasing its holdings to 100 BTC.

This move aligns with its May 15 announcement to acquire 5,000 BTC by 2025, including 500 BTC by year-end 2025.

If it held this amount today, the 5,000 BTC would put DDC just outside the top 10 largest public Bitcoin holders, behind Japan's Metaplanet with 7,800 BTC, according to Bitbo data.
