Bitcoin has reached its highest weekly close in its history as market momentum persists, nearing its all-time high.
Over the past six weeks, Bitcoin has posted consistent weekly gains. At midnight UTC on May 18, it posted its highest weekly close ever, just below $106,500, according to TradingView data.
The previous record high was in December at $104,400, before reaching an all-time high of $109,358 on Jan. 20. Currently, Bitcoin is less than 3% off its high, with a 2% gain in the past 24 hours, trading at approximately $104,730.
On May 18, Bitcoin also reached its highest close in a 24-hour period, though not its largest daily gain.
