SEC Delays Decision on Solana ETF

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed its decision on a proposed spot Solana exchange-traded fund (ETF).

Now, the crypto sector is turning its attention to upcoming deadlines for Polkadot and XRP-based ETFs in June.

According to a May 13 SEC filing, the decision on Grayscale's spot Solana Trust ETF on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has been delayed until October 2025.

The move comes after the SEC previously delayed a decision on Canary Capital's Litecoin ETF, as Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart mentioned in a May 5 post.

While a Solana ETF could attract less investment than Bitcoin ETFs, it has the potential to improve Solana's institutional adoption.
