Asset manager VanEck has applied for approval from US regulators to list an exchange-traded fund (ETF) holding BNB, the native token of Binance’s BNB Chain, according to filings.
The ETF aims to accumulate spot BNB tokens and may occasionally staking a portion of the fund's assets through trusted staking providers, as outlined in the ETF's S-1 prospectus.
This is the first time an asset manager has filed a BNB ETF in the United States.
The BNB token has a market capitalization of approximately $84 billion, according to CoinMarketCap data. As of May 5, BNB stakers earn about a 2.5% yield.
