Lawmakers in the Arizona House of Representatives have approved two bills that could allow the state to establish a reserve with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

During a third reading on April 28, Senate Bill 1025 (SB1025), which proposes to amend Arizona statutes to create a strategic BTC reserve, received support from 31 House members, with 25 opposed.

Another bill, SB1373, aimed at establishing a statewide digital asset reserve, passed with 37 in favor and 19 opposed.

State Representative Jeff Weninger commented on SB1025, noting that about 15 other states are considering similar legislation to allow up to 10% investment in assets such as Bitcoin.
