ProShares plans to launch three futures-based ETFs linked to Ripple's XRP token on April 30, according to a recent SEC filing.
The funds - an Ultra XRP ETF (2x leverage), a Short XRP ETF, and an Ultra Short XRP ETF (-2x leverage) - were first proposed in January and have now effectively won SEC approval after the regulator raised no objections during the review period.
These ETFs will become the second, third and fourth XRP tracking funds available in the US market.
However, ProShares' application for a spot XRP ETF remains pending, as do similar proposals from asset managers such as Grayscale, 21Shares and Bitwise.
