Crypto exchange Kraken is expanding its focus beyond cryptocurrencies with the introduction of US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to attract more traditional investors.

The exchange has introduced 11,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs with commission-free trading. The initiative aims to integrate equities and digital assets into a single trading platform.

As of April 14, US users in states such as New Jersey, Connecticut, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Idaho, Iowa, Rhode Island, Kentucky, Alabama and the District of Columbia can access these stocks and ETFs through their Kraken accounts.

The company intends to gradually expand access to customers in other US states.
