Galaxy Digital, a cryptocurrency investment firm, has received approval from the SEC to list on the Nasdaq.

The company, currently listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), plans to move its headquarters from the Cayman Islands to Delaware, pending shareholder and TSX approval, as announced on April 7.

Galaxy expects to list under the ticker GLXY shortly after the vote, with the transition expected to be completed by mid-May, provided it meets Nasdaq listing requirements.

In its SEC Form S-4, which was initially filed on March 27, Galaxy explained the choice of Delaware for its move, citing its favorable corporate environment that would allow for better competition with other publicly traded companies.
