Gemini, the crypto exchange backed by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, is set to establish an office in the Miami area as its case with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may be coming to a close.

A March 31 announcement from Sterling Bay Properties confirmed that Gemini has leased office space in Miami's Wynwood Arts District. The move will expand the platform's presence from Europe and New York to Florida, a hub for several cryptocurrency companies.

Bloomberg reported that Gemini will relocate to the Miami office in May.

The decision to move to Florida comes after a federal judge put the SEC's lawsuit against Gemini Global Capital on hold for 60 days, allowing for a possible settlement.
