Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has achieved a new compliance milestone by obtaining registration in Canada.

The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) granted Kraken a restricted dealer registration on April 1, as stated on the OSC's official website.

This registration underscores Kraken's dedication to Canadian investors, as its platform currently has more than C$2 billion ($1.4 billion) in assets under custody.

In conjunction with this registration, Kraken has appointed Cynthia Del Pozo as managing director for North America.
