Tether has just signed an agreement with the African nation of Guinea to explore the adoption of blockchain and peer-to-peer technology.

In a blog post dated February 17, Tether announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at laying the groundwork for Guinea to adopt blockchain technologies and foster an innovative environment.

The agreement is designed to exchange best practices with the West African country, with an emphasis on education, innovation and sustainable technology practices, according to the company.

Tether has highlighted that an important aspect of the MOU involves the potential development of blockchain expertise and educational initiatives within Guinea's public and private sectors to improve awareness, build skills, and nurture local talent in digital technologies.
