According to a TechCrunch report dated February 13, Coinbase has engaged with India's Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) to explore its possible return.

This development coincides with Coinbase's chief legal officer joining the board of the US-India Business Council (USIBC), which aims to foster long-term business relationships and facilitate connections between governments and businesses.
The possibility of Coinbase re-entering India comes more than a year after the platform halted operations there in September 2023.
