Investment bank Goldman Sachs significantly increased its spot Ether ETF holdings by 2,000% during the fourth quarter of 2024, while also boosting its Bitcoin ETF assets to more than $1.5 billion.
Goldman expanded its investments in Ether ETFs from $22 million to $476 million, with a nearly even split between BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) and the Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH), as well as a $6.3 million investment in the Grayscale Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHE), according to the company's Feb. 11 Form 13F filing with the SEC.
In addition, Goldman increased its holdings in Bitcoin ETFs by 114% to $1.52 billion.
The bank acquired nearly $1.28 billion in shares of the iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) along with $288 million in shares of the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC).
