US regulators have announced they need more time to consider whether to approve the trading of options linked to Ether ETFs.

The request came from the Nasdaq ISE in July, specifically for permission to list options contracts for BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) fund. The SEC has until April 2025 to make a decision, according to the filing.

The introduction of an options market for ether ETFs is a crucial step toward their widespread adoption.
