In a post published on Sunday, CAR President Faustin-Archange Touadéra's account claimed the meme coin was created to demonstrate how something as simple as a meme can bring people together, support the country's development and showcase its unique character to the world.
The CAR meme coin, described as the country's official meme, is currently trading at approximately $0.45 on the Solana pump.fun launchpad.
In a subsequent social media post, a video announcement featuring President Touadéra was shared, emphasizing the belief in the strength and importance of a united community in the Central African Republic.
