Cboe BZX Exchange has filed Forms 19b-4 for four asset managers that intend to list the first spot XRP ETFs in the United States.
These asset managers include Canary Capital, WisdomTree, 21Shares, and Bitwise, and the filings were completed on February 6. The proposed ETFs would track the price of XRP.

These 19b-4 filings serve as a warning to the SEC of a potential rule change, which if approved, would result in the launch of XRP ETFs in the United States.
The SEC, under the leadership of former Chairman Gary Gensler, approved Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs for trading in early 2024.
However, with the current acting chairman, Mark Uyeda, more open to cryptocurrencies, there has been an increase in the number and variety of crypto-related ETF filings.
