After almost two years, Kraken has resumed staking services for its US customers.

This service had been paused in 2023, when the platform reached a multi-million dollar settlement with the SEC for these services.

Kraken has begun offering staking for 17 digital assets, including popular options such as Ether, SOL and Cardano's ADA, available to customers in 37 US states.

Kraken was one of the first providers of staking services, offering them to customers in 2019. However, in February 2023, as part of their $30 million settlement with the SEC, they agreed to pause the services.

The return of staking services is seen as a positive sign of the improving regulatory environment under the new SEC leadership in the United States.
