Cboe BZX Exchange has refiled applications on behalf of four asset managers that intend to launch a spot Solana ETF in the United States this year.
On Jan. 28, the platform refiled 19b-4 applications for Solana ETFs from Bitwise, VanEck, 21Shares, and Canary Capital after the SEC rejected the initial applications at the end of 2024.
These applications restart the SEC's review process under the direction of the regulator's new, more cryptocurrency-friendly acting chairman, Mark Uyeda.
If approved, a Solana ETF would pave the way for Solana to become the third cryptocurrency accessible through a spot ETF listed on US exchanges, following similar products for Bitcoin and Ether launched last year.
