OKX and Crypto.com have both received full licenses from the European Union under the MiCA regulations.

OKX announced its license on January 27 through its Malta hub, while Crypto.com also received its license on the same day.

Issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), these licenses allow exchanges to provide regulated cryptocurrency services to European customers.

A significant aspect of the MiCA regulations is the "passporting," which allows registered and licensed firms to operate in other EU countries under a uniform regulatory framework. This streamlines access to cryptocurrencies for people residing in the EEA.

Both OKX and Crypto.com intend to use the passporting feature to offer their services throughout the EEA.
