Indian crypto exchange CoinSwitch has just announced the launch of a 600 million Indian rupee ($69.9 million) recovery fund for WazirX, called "CoinSwitch Cares."

This fund aims to help those who were affected by a cyber-attack that targeted WazirX in July 2024.

The company plans to distribute the funds to affected users within two years, with the aim of supporting the development of the Indian crypto-ecosystem.

To qualify for the recovery fund, users must provide proof of their losses, such as loss statements from WazirX. CoinSwitch may also ask for additional proof at its discretion.
