On December 13, Coinbase Europe, Coinbase Germany and Coinbase Custody International will delist Tether’s USDt and five other stablecoins as the deadline for European cryptocurrency-related regulations approaches.

The six assets that will face restrictions due to Europe's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) are USDT, PAX, PYUSD, GUSD, GYEN and DAI.

However, Coinbase will continue to support the USD Coin, as well as EURC, which is a stablecoin operated by Coinbase and Circle.

Although the first phase of MiCA's stablecoin regime has been in place since June 30, the full regulatory framework for crypto asset service providers (CASP) will not be active until December 30.
