The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has recently issued a notice that it will not participate in the clearing of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) options.

This decision has sparked speculation among analysts that these products could soon be listed.

ETF analyst Eric Balchunas suggested the ball is now in the court of the Options Clearing Corporation (OCC), which reportedly supports these options.

Analyst James Seyffart expressed similar optimism, indicating that the launch of these products is imminent.

The CFTC statement clarifies that the OCC, as the sole writer of all equity options, will be responsible for clearing and settling Bitcoin ETF options.

This development has generated buzz among cryptocurrency executives, who believe it could have a significant impact on the price of Bitcoin.
