Mt. Gox transferred 2,500 Bitcoins, worth approximately $222 million, to two unknown wallets yesterday. This is the fifth batch of Bitcoins that Mt. Gox has transferred this month.
According to Arkham Intelligence, the Bitcoins were moved to other addresses from one of the wallets.
Mt. Gox, which has been dormant since 2014, has been making a series of internal and external transfers of Bitcoins since October 31.
Last week, the platform transferred Bitcoins worth more than $2 billion, the most in months. It is unclear whether these recent transfers are related to the exchange's plans to pay its creditors.
In the past, similar moves have preceded repayments to creditors through centralized platforms.
