The National Gaming Authority of France (ANJ) is currently reviewing crypto prediction platform Polymarket over concerns it may be in violation of French gambling laws.

This is due to the platform's rising popularity, particularly due to its offerings around the 2024 US presidential election.

According to a Bloomberg report on November 7, the ANJ spokesperson has stated they are investigating Polymarket's operations in order to ensure compliance with French gambling regulations.

Launched in 2020, Polymarket is a decentralized platform where users can use cryptocurrencies to bet on the outcomes of real-world events.
