On Friday, investment firm 21Shares filed an S-1 registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for its new fund, the 21Shares Core XRP Trust, which will be listed on the Cboe BZX exchange.
The fund’s custodian will be Coinbase Custody Trust Company.
The SEC has recently approved 11 spot Bitcoin ETFs and eight Ethereum ETFs, prompting firms such as VanEck and 21Shares to file applications to launch Solana and XRP ETFs.

Canary Capital and Bitwise have also submitted proposals for spot XRP ETFs, but the SEC has yet to approve any in the past.
