The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has once again postponed a decision on whether an exchange can list options linked to Ethereum ETFs, according to a notice filed Oct. 11.
The SEC has delayed the deadline to rule on a proposed rule change that would allow Cboe Exchange to list options linked to multiple popular spot ETH funds, the filing said.
The original Oct. 19 deadline has been rescheduled to Dec. 3.
In August, Cboe filed an application with the SEC seeking approval to launch options for nine ETFs, including funds such as BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF.
Similarly, the SEC in September deferred a decision on a proposed Nasdaq rule change that would allow it to list options on the iShares Ethereum Trust.
