Japanese investment firm Metaplanet has made another Bitcoin purchase, increasing its total holdings to nearly 640 Bitcoins.
This purchase has sent its shares soaring by more than 10%. On October 7, the Tokyo-listed company announced its latest purchase of 108.78 Bitcoins, valued at approximately $6.92 million at the current price of $63,600.
In just one week, the company has accumulated more than 215 BTC, with a previous purchase of 107.91 BTC on October 1.
It currently holds a total of 639.5 BTC, worth approximately $40.5 million, according to its latest announcement on Oct. 7.
