According to an October 1 regulatory filing, asset manager Hashdex has filed an amended registration application for a proposed ETF that purports to be a full crypto portfolio.
The initial composition of the Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF will include only Bitcoin and Ether, the two assets currently included in the Nasdaq Crypto US Index. However, it may eventually expand to include other digital currencies, according to the filing.
Industry experts predict that crypto index ETFs will be the next big target for issuers.
Notably, asset manager Franklin Templeton is looking to launch a similar crypto index ETF, according to an Aug. 16 presentation.
