According to a recent SEC filing, MicroStrategy has purchased another 18,300 Bitcoins for approximately $1.11 billion.

The average price of these Bitcoins was $60,408 per coin, and the purchases were made between August 6 and September 12. With this recent acquisition, MicroStrategy now owns a total of 244,800 BTC, valued at around $14 billion.

The company's founder and executive chairman, Michael Saylor, has stated the total cost of all its Bitcoin purchases, including commissions and expenses, was $9.45 billion, with an average price of $38,585 per coin.

These latest purchases were made with funds generated from the sale of MicroStrategy shares, following an agreement reached in August to offer up to $2 billion in shares through sales agents.

As of September 12, the company had sold a total of 8,048,449 shares, for approximately $1.11 billion.
