Tether has launched its USDT stablecoin on the Aptos blockchain with the aim of reducing transaction fees.

By leveraging the speed and scalability of Aptos, Tether hopes to make the digital currency more accessible and practical for a wider range of users.

The move comes as Aptos has experienced substantial growth, with average daily active users increasing from 96,000 in January to 170,000 in July.

The blockchain also processed a record 157 million transactions in a single day in May 2024.

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino has been enthusiastic about the partnership and said that Aptos' technology will enable faster and more cost-effective USDT transactions.
