Crypto exchange ByBit has just announced it will halt its operations in France and apply restrictions to French users' account features.

In a press release issued on August 1, ByBit stated that the decision has been made due to recent regulatory developments by the French financial regulator, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF).

As of August 2, French users will only be able to close their existing positions and will not be able to deposit funds or open new positions on the platform's services and products.

On August 13, all remaining positions will be automatically liquidated and card services will be suspended for French clients.
