Several Ethereum exchange-traded funds have received approval to begin trading today after the edits made to the registration statements over the past weeks.

The 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF (CETH), along with ETFs from other firms such as Bitwise, BlackRock, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, VanEck, and Invesco Galaxy have received the go-ahead to begin trading, with registrations becoming effective on Monday.

According to Ophelia Snyder, co-founder and president of 21Shares, this is a major achievement for both the company and US investors, as it confirms the permanence of the crypto as an asset class.

The approvals come after months of little communication between the SEC and issuers, but the agency had a change of heart in the week leading up to the deadlines and began approving ETFs.
