Mt. Gox Starts Repaying its Creditors

The Mt. Gox rehabilitation trustee has announced the company has started paying some of its creditors with Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.

The trustee has explained these repayments are made through designated cryptocurrency platforms as part of the rehabilitation plan.

Eligible creditors will receive their repayments promptly if they meet certain conditions, including verification of their account information, acceptance of the terms of the agreement with the designated exchanges and completion of discussions with the trustee.

This announcement comes after 47,228.7 BTC (equivalent to $2.71 billion) were transferred to a wallet earlier in the day and then distributed through multiple transactions.
