Strike officially launched its popular Bitcoin payments app and Lightning Network in the UK yesterday, The Block has reported.
The app allows individuals and businesses to buy, sell, send, withdraw and make global payments with Bitcoin.
According to Strike founder and CEO Jack Mallers, the UK's large population and its position as the world's sixth largest economy present significant opportunities for Bitcoin adoption.
With this launch, which follows the app's launch in Europe in April, there are now 100 countries and territories where Strike is available, including the United States, Latin America and Africa.
Mallers stated the company is delighted to offer its services in the UK while complying with local regulations for Bitcoin and other crypto businesses.
