Bybit Opens Registration Process for Chinese Citizens Living Overseas

Bybit has started to allow Chinese citizens residing abroad to register and complete the identity verification process.

Users can use their Chinese national ID to register, but are currently not allowed to trade cryptocurrencies as a resident in China.

Bybit is based in Dubai and is among the top three crypto platforms by trading volume, after Coinbase and Binance.

The company had previously exited the Canadian market due to regulatory restrictions, but has since expanded into other countries such as Kazakhstan and the Netherlands.

Since the Chinese government banned cryptocurrency exchanges back in 2017, many companies have moved overseas to continue operating.
