Morgan Stanley Discloses $270M Investment in Bitcoin ETFs

Investment bank Morgan Stanley has disclosed in an SEC filing it holds more than $270 million in investments in US spot Bitcoin ETFs as of March 31.

Specifically, Morgan Stanley disclosed $269.9 million in Grayscale's converted spot Bitcoin ETF, making it the third largest holder of GBTC shares.

In addition, Morgan Stanley disclosed a $2.3 million investment in Ark Invest's spot Bitcoin ETF.

The 13F filings are quarterly reports required by the SEC for institutional investment managers with at least $100 million in equity assets under management.

These reports provide a snapshot of a manager's equity holdings at the end of each quarter, but only mandate disclosure of long positions in US equities and stock options.
