Two long-dormant Bitcoin wallets, holding a total of 1,000 Bitcoins, have been brought back to life after 10 years of inactivity.
These wallets, currently worth $61 million, have transferred their holdings.
Activity began on May 12 with one wallet sending all of its 500 Bitcoins. Two blocks later, another wallet did the same, also transferring its 500 Bitcoins.
These are not normal wallets. CoinGecko records indicate that each received their 500 Bitcoins in September 2013, when the price was just $134 each. With the massive rise in the price of Bitcoin, the amount transferred is now worth a whopping 456 times as much, which translates to $61.2 million.
