Tether has just announced the launch of its USDT and XAUT stablecoins, the latter backed by gold, on The Open Network blockchain platform.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said USDT is available on TON as of April 20, followed by XAUT in the near future.

While USDT is already available on multiple blockchains, TON will be the second blockchain on which XAUT will be introduced, after Ethereum.
Ardoino has explained the integration of USDT and XAUT into TON will facilitate the seamless transfer of value, increasing activity and liquidity on the platform and providing users with a financial experience similar to that of traditional systems.
Tether hopes to expand access to decentralized applications, especially in areas such as payments and gaming, by bringing its stablecoins to TON.
