VALR, a South Africa-based crypto exchange, has obtained crypto asset service provider (CASP) licenses from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) in accordance with new industry regulations.
These Category I and II licenses make VALR one of the first crypto companies in the country to achieve this status.
The company's CEO and co-founder, Farzam Ehsani, believes obtaining these licenses is a significant achievement for the company and demonstrates its commitment to compliance, security and providing a reliable platform for the cryptocurrency community.
Ehsani also commends the South African regulators for their efforts in creating a regulatory framework that supports the growth of the cryptocurrency and blockchain sector while protecting investors.
