Hong Kong has today granted approval to several spot Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds.
China Asset Management's Hong Kong unit will offer retail services for a spot crypto ETF in partnership with OSL and BOCI International.
In addition, Harvest Global Investments has received initial approval for two spot cryptocurrency ETFs, which will also collaborate with OSL to address margin requirements.
Bosera Asset Management and HashKey Capital have also received conditional approval to jointly manage two spot cryptocurrency ETFs, specifically offering the Bosera HashKey Bitcoin ETF and the Bosera HashKey Ether ETF.
These ETFs will allow investors to subscribe directly using Bitcoin and Ether.
