Elon Musk, CEO of electric vehicle maker Tesla, has hinted the company could add Dogecoin as an official payment method for Tesla cars in the future.
During an event at the Berlin Gigafactory, a Tesla manufacturing plant, Musk responded positively to a question from an audience member about the possibility of buying Tesla cars with Dogecoin.

This statement caused excitement among investors, leading to a rise of more than 9%.
Musk has also shown his support for Dogecoin by stating that fans can still use the crypto to buy Tesla merchandising.
This is not the first time Musk has expressed his support for Dogecoin, as he first began backing the altcoin after Tesla Gigafactory employees and SpaceX visitors asked for it to be accepted as a form of payment.
