MicroStrategy, led by Michael Saylor, has acquired about 12,000 more Bitcoins for around $821.7 million in cash.

This latest purchase has increased the company's total Bitcoin holdings to 205,000 BTC, surpassing the holdings of BlackRock's largest spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund, which currently stands at 197,943 BTC.

The acquisition took place between February 26 and March 10, at an average price of $68,477 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses.

The purchase was made possible by a recent private offering of convertible senior notes, which brought in $781.1 million, as well as $40.6 million from excess cash.

In total, MicroStrategy has spent about $6.91 billion on Bitcoins, which are now worth more than $14.7 billion.
